| | | Description: | | LeapFrog - Fridge Farm Magnetic Animal Set Toddlers from 12 months and up will love making wacky animal combinations with this Magnetic Animal set. This toy teaches kids all about animals, as it plays learning songs, fun facts, and sounds. Toddlers can make up to 25 combinations with this magnetic puzzle, and it can be played with on the floor or on the refrigerator. When two matching pieces are inserted into the farm, a cheerful electronic voice says the animal name. If the pieces mismatch, the toy creates a silly name for that animal. Matches are positively reinforced and the toy makes mismatches seem funny rather than wrong. When set to music mode, Farmer Tad plays five banjo tunes for a real barnyard hoe-down. The Fridge Farm is a great set to travel with. All pieces store on the back of the barn and a carry handle allows easy transport from place to place. The toy's resilient construction withstands wear and tear and holds up nicely to rough child play. Strong magnets keep it from falling off the fridge and lightweight construction allows a small child to carry the fun from room to room with no problem. A handy volume switch keeps the music at an enjoyable level. The fridge farm encourages creativity, as your child mixes, matches, and makes zany animals. Bright colors and lively animal songs make the Fridge Farm a family favorite. In 2004, it received the prestigious Superior quality, easy-to-grasp pieces, Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Award. and lively banjo tunes make it a great addition for any toddler's toy box. This toy is easy for little fingers to manage and convenient for parents to store. It requires three AAA batteries (included). Includes: Barnyard, 5 animal pieces, and 3 AAA batteries. | | | Features: | |

great toyJul 29, 2010 I got this for my 13 month old niece. She knows how to play the music and dances and swings to it...she carries it around as well as plays with it on the fridge...she is just learning to put the animal pieces in, but I like that there is no "wrong" combination. Her 3 year old cousin has just as much fun, but can use it at a higher level matching the parts together. Great toy
Longlasting Favorite for My Two Kids!Jul 03, 2010 This toy has been on our fridge for over five years!
When the child makes a match, whether it is real (both the halves of the same animal) or silly (front of one animal and back of another), he/she is rewarded with a song. The song is quite catchy; we even sing it on long car trips..."You put the pig in front and the cow behind...put them together and what do you find? A cow-pig! That's silly!" The frog button at the top plays children's standards (no singing), such as Skip to My Lou, She'll be Coming 'Round the Mountain When She Comes, etc.
My son, now almost six, received this gift when he was born and we broke it out of its packaging when he was approximately 10 months. My daughter, now 19-months-old, just "discovered" the fridge farm and is semi-obsessed. She loves to make a match and seems to understand that putting the "pink pig" in front and "orange horse" in back will net her a silly song. Every time she makes a mismatch, she dances around and joins in when the lady sings, "That's silly!" As a side note, my son enjoys helping his little sister make correct matches, as well as silly matches, with this toy.
I have given this toy numerous times for 1-year-old birthday children and always hear back from the parents that it is a favorite. For the price, you can't go wrong.
Absolutely perfectJun 29, 2010 Bought this for my 18 mo. granddaughter because she loves my refrigerator magnets.
It is perfect for her and she caught on right away.
This is a must have toy!Jun 28, 2010 I bought this toy for my 17 month old. It keeps her busy while I cook dinner and clean up the kitchen. She now sings and dances to the songs. I bought it because my friend had one for her kids and my dd loved to go in her kitchen and play with it the entire time we would be over for a visit!! It is definitely a must have! Amazon had the cheapest price as well!!
Must have!Jun 09, 2010 I recently bought this for my 15 months of daughter and she LOVES this! It gets played with multiple times everyday...she even carries it with her through out the house(which btw it has a carrying handle, which is a nice touch). It's meant for the fridge but I can see this for being great for road trips or anywhere. Lots of fun!
