great toy and learning tool!Aug 29, 2010 we've only had this toy for a month or so and we love it!! it's been incredibly helpful for my 2 yr old boy who had shown very little interest in drawing or writing. he knows all his letters, numbers and shapes but wasn't able to draw any of them but in the past 2 weeks he's been drawing distinct shapes and letters and he's excited about it!
it's also been awesome for the other 2 year old boy that i sit for. his drawing and writing skills are excellent but he's still mastering his letter, number, and shape recognition. both boys also already have the LeapFrog My Pal Scout so they enjoy hearing scout's voice on another toy.
Great for TripsAug 28, 2010 I purchased this for my 3 year old son for a long car trip. He seemed to like it. I would say it captures his attention for about 10 minutes at a time. He occasionally picks it up while at home and enjoys playing with it. He isn't super interested in learning to write just yet, but I think it will be helpful if given time. As an FYI the screen actually doesn't activate anything, its just there for the kids to trace on (think one of those magnetic sheets with a small plastic film in front), but not an issue for me.
Great toy for learning and play!!!Aug 27, 2010 I bought this for my son's 5th birthday last year, who loved it and had so much fun with it. That was until my youngest son who was 2 at the time, found it one day and started playing with it. He LOVED it and couldn't put it down. It went everywhere with us and he loved learning to write his ABC's. Both my boys still play with it and are still having just as much fun learning from this system today, as they did over a year ago when I bought it. What a great toy and another A++++ from Leapfrog. I just ordered the Leapfrog Laptop Computer for my little ones 3rd birthday next week. I know his going to love it and have just as much fun learning with it as he did the Leapfrog Scibble and Write.
Highly Recommend this item!!!
Now my son likes to write!Aug 27, 2010 Absolutely phenomenal! It was like pulling teeth trying to get my 4 yr old to practice writing his letters and with this toy it makes it so much fun. He uses it is on his own and has really come along way. I love it!
Awesome for a preschooler learning their ABC'sAug 26, 2010 I got this for my 4 year old son who is going into his second year of preschool. He knows most of his letters but we wanted him to start working on writing them. I got this for him and the day we received it he started playing on it and caught on immediately!!! It was abaoslutely amazing. The way the Scribble and Write is set up is WONDERFUL. The recording says the letter they pick and slowly has dots on the screen showing how the letter is formed. My son then traced over the dots and then the dots disappear and they can see the letter that they made, which made him very happy and proud. I know this toy is one I will be happy I bought when he starts back to school and will be able to write his name correctly. Thanks LeapFrog!
