Awesome dolls!!Jul 31, 2010
It is a very nice dollhouse family. The one problem is that the mother and father's pants and skirt keep falling down. There is only one small block of wood for their body, so that could be the problem with there pants/skirt are falling down. However, I love to play with my dolls. I enjoy them very much, and if you are looking for dolls I would suggest you get them. :-)

We bought MY First Dollhouse for our twin girls' second birthday and furnished it with all the Plan Toys classic furniture accessories. So, we had to get the dolls. I checked out Pottery Barn's dollhouse dolls and although "better" dressed, the overall quality was poor and cheap looking. I went with this family and am happy. The "Modern" family just looked too wild, yet this family is too hokey. The boy and dad seem cool, but the females look old-fahsioned.
Overall, it serves the purpose and the quality is exceptional...but the day may come when I attempt to re-dress the females to be a tad more hip!

After a great deal of research, I decided to buy this set doll for my daughter. She is 2 and half and she enjoyed the dolls for 1 day. Then I noticed my skin felt itchy and my lung hurt! When I checked the dolls, their legs and arms are made of some sort of electrician's wire that was covered with woven fibers and I know a lot people are allergic to this kind of fiber. I wish I have time to provide a photo. Long story short, a couple of days later, she had bad post-nasal drip that made her almost sleepless for two days and needed a doctor visit and prescription medication.
She still loves them very much and begged me not to trow them away. Now she realized she cann't even sit near them because her throat will hurt. So she allowed me to put them in a zip-loc waiting for a solution.
If there is no allergy, I will give the toy set 5 stars.

The dolls are loved by my girls and are constantly played with. I love the neutral colored clothing with my only complaint being that the mother's dress keeps falling down/being pulled off.

Would rate it 4 1/2 stars if that was an option. We purchased this along with dollhouse and furniture for our 3 yr. old. She has been very happy with it!
The good: Plan Toys could not be greener! I am thrilled to spend my money with this company. Plant bases dyes, rubberwood that is no longer producing rubber, much thought about minimum packaging, etc. Figures seem durable. Are dressed pretty modernly in clothes our family might wear ourselves, overall I like the look of the figures. Our daughter is very much enjoying the imaginative play. Good pricing compared to what I found elsewhere. Somewhat poseable and the large feet make them able to stand.
The bad: The dad's hair has to be the worst thing - it looks like a bad toupee! Due to being tossed around in the box, the little girl's hair was sticking up in the bangs...should really have had a little sheath to hold it in place during shipping, but I think not using one is part of the green effort. The mom's skirt will not stay on to the point where I'm going to have to glue it to the body.
